Settlement Services and Orientation

KULAN can provide you with the supports you need for successful settlement and integration into social, economic and cultural come and see our team! We are here to any Immigrant or Refugee that would like support to achieve their goals in Canada.

Our newcomer services provide support while you and your family adapt to your new life in Canada. These services meet the needs of children, youth, parents, adults, and seniors.

We work with vulnerable newcomer populations including families, individuals and youth facing multiple challenges in adjusting to life in Canada such as:

  • Language barriers
  • Social isolation
  • Economic pressures
  • Single parenting
  • Domestic violence
We provide:
  • Services in individual’s local community and language when possible
  • Information, orientation and referrals on Canadian systems including schools, health care, housing and recreation
  • Confidential support to help adjust to living in Canada, both for the individual and family

WHAT ARE SETTLEMENT SERVICES?

Settlement Services help new immigrants and refugees live in Canada by connecting newcomers to services, jobs, housing, and everything else needed to feel welcome in your new home. We guide newcomers toward the next steps along their settlement pathway. KULAN Settlement Services provide access to government and community services.

WHO CAN GET HELP?

  • Permanent residents
  • Refugees
  • Temporary Foreign Workers
  • Provincial Nominees who are awaiting a letter of approval for permanent residency from the federal government
  • Immigrants who are naturalized citizens
